U.S. Citizens need to obtain a visa to enter Turkey. Tourist visa can be obtain at any point in Turkey or from the Turkish Consulates around the U.S. However, application for a Business visa must be done ahead of time, before entering Turkey.

General Requirement for obtaining a Tourist visa for Turkey:

• A passport valid for at least the next three months, (with at least one blank page available).
• Visa Application Form completed and signed.
• Original valid Greencard or valid US resident visa.
• One passport size photo.
• A copy of round-trip ticket or a booked itinerary showing travel to and from Turkey. In case of transit visa, proof of transport to the final destination.
• Employment Verification Letter.
• Most recent bank statement.
• Proof of lodging: Hotel reservations, rental of vacation home.
• If you stay with a relative/family member or a friend who lives in Turkey, the person must provide a Notarized Invitation letter (from a Notary Public in Turkey).
• For business visa - a letter from your company is required with the above requirements.
